Most Common Doubts Before Yoga Teacher Training

One should obviously have certain doubts before joining any yoga teacher training in Kerala. Moreover, there is no meaning in signing up for a training class without really thinking it through. Here is some authentic information from a yoga teacher training center in varkala about the most common doubts one may have before joining a Yoga Teacher Training course.

The first and the most common doubt anybody would have is that “ Do I need to be certified to teach Yoga?” Some of the best yoga retreats in Kerala have the opinion that this is the most common question asked by visitors. The answer is no! Most Yoga jobs ask for a certification but there are so many people who have experience in Yoga teaching who conduct professional Yoga classes. But if you ask if you want to teach around the world, you will definitely need a certification.

Another common question is “Should I get a travel visa?” The answer would be that - it depends. Some places do not ask for a visa like Thailand and the USA. But some places do ask for a visa to teach yoga for specific time periods.

When looking out for the more such questions, we found an interesting doubt from one of the leading yogaclasses in Trivandrum. One person asked if “he is going to be the worst person there and end up looking like an amateur?!” The answer would be probably not! As people from all backgrounds attend yoga teacher training, it is not necessary that each student must be perfect. No one would be practicing correctly at first, and maybe even after years of practice!

Another popular question is “where would I be sleeping?!” Some classes offer dormitories, and some offer bunglows! Everything depends on the budget and quality of the institutions. All you can do is know and check about the food and accomodation facilities before enrolling for the course.

A similar question asked widely is about the food. If you are going to a yoga class or a retreat to enjoy tasty food, just don't! Yoga classes usually serve healthy and nutritious food, that is not so tasty. Everything you expect should be healthy, and not too good for your tongue!

A popular question is “am I in shape enough for Yoga training?” The answer is that there is no need for being so self-conscious about your body. The fact is that nobody is caring much about your weight except you! This may be the opposite of what you always think, but the truth is that nobody is paying attention.

These are some of the most popular questions collected from some of the Yoga teacher training centers. You may have more doubts, and contacting any of these schools and asking them directly could definitely help.

Our mind is chaos, literally! We always think of unnecessary things and our thoughts wander aimlessly. We get lost in our thoughts and often forget to live in the present. We either think of the past or worry about the future. This state is the opposite of mindfulness, and it is the state you should never be in. To get out of this state the mind should be trained to concentrate and to stay attentive. Here are some ways to become mindful each day: Pay attention to your breath Breathing is indeed a natural phenomenon. It is an involuntary process and happens without our awareness. We don’t often think we are breathing. Most yoga teacher training sessions in Kerala give serious training for breath control and being mindful. Paying attention to your breath for a mere 5 minutes daily can make you more attentive. Many Yoga schools in Kerala provide breathing practice as a core course. Keep watch on your emotions Emotions play a huge in controlling our behavior and att
